Nursery Funding, Hours, Meals and Charges

We offer funded early education places for eligible 3 - 4 year olds in line with Department for Education Early Education and Childcare guidance. Funded hours are provided free of charge, and parents are not required to pay for additional hours or services in order to access their child’s funded entitlement.

Our Nursery Offer

Our Nursery operates four days a week, from Monday to Thursday for ALL pupils. Sessions run from 8:55 am to 3:10 pm, totalling 25 hours per week. For those pupils only entitled to 15 hours (universal entitlement), we cover the additional 10 hours using our school budget.
Please note: we do not offer universal (15) hours only places - all nursery pupils attend for 25 hours. Families eligible for 30 hours will have the additional 10 hours claimed by the school. If your eligibility ends, your child will still attend for 25 hours - we’ll continue to fund the difference.
We have made this commitment because we value every child’s access to quality early education. It’s our way of ensuring that all families can benefit from our nursery programme, without financial barriers. We believe that children who have experienced a full-time, school-based nursery setting are well prepared for their transition to reception. Our nursery isn’t just about childcare - it’s about laying the groundwork for a successful educational journey. By the end of the nursery year, our aim is to ensure that your child is ‘school-ready’.
